During the motor design process, we must ensure that the diameter and relative position of the mounting holes on the motor product meet the requirements, while also considering the actual space requirements of the customer during installation. This includes specific issues such as the bolt diameter and length used by the customer, the corresponding nut installation space, and whether the bolt can be easily inserted into the mounting hole when fixed.
Some motor standards specify the diameter of the fixing bolts, while others do not. Moreover, motor users may not be aware of this requirement, especially for overseas customers, whose requirements may differ.
Besides ensuring the diameter is compatible, for motor products with relatively limited installation space, motor manufacturers should fully communicate with customers regarding installation information. This way, they can be well-informed and ensure success in every endeavor.
Precautions for motor installation
● The motor mounting base must be stable and ensure unobstructed air circulation to facilitate motor heat dissipation. A poor mounting base can cause vibration problems when the motor is running.
● The issue of magnetic centerline alignment. If there is a misalignment, it will cause axial movement and affect motor efficiency.
● When installing transmission components, use bolts to press them in; do not strike them forcefully to avoid damaging the motor parts. Similarly, you can strike the motor freely when disassembling it.
● During installation, ensure that the motor and the equipment it drives are coaxial.
●During installation, the ease of lubrication and drainage of the motor should be checked to ensure proper maintenance later.
● Check the power supply voltage and contact condition before connecting to avoid incompatibility between the motor voltage and the applied voltage.
