The CoolDrive S7 standard version mainly includes four types of cables: power cables, control cables, motor power cables, and encoder cables. This article will use power cables and control cables as examples to explain how to wire them.
Section 1
-Tools and Accessories Preparation-
The tools you will need include wire crimping pliers, wire strippers, and a utility knife. Also, prepare four-core cables and pin terminals.
The required S7 accessories list is as follows:
○ Power input line connector ×1
○ Control power supply and regenerative braking line connector ×1
Section 2
-Install pin terminals-
First, use a utility knife to peel off the black outer sheath on one side of the cable. After repairing the cable, insert heat shrink tubing for later use.
Use wire strippers to strip the outer sheath of the four-core cable, with the stripped length approximately equal to the length of the pin-shaped terminal.
After tightening the wire core, insert the pin-shaped terminal and use wire crimping pliers to tighten the terminal. Follow this procedure to install the remaining three terminals.
Heat the heat shrink tubing with a hot air blower, and the pin-shaped terminals are installed.
Section 3
-Install quick-connect terminals-
Except for the encoder connector, all CoolDriveS7 drives use quick-connect terminals.
This advantage lies in:
1. Significantly improves wiring efficiency and shortens installation time.
2. Enhance connection reliability.

According to the wiring definition shown in the S7 wiring diagram, insert the completed pin-shaped terminal into the connector, and the cable is completed.
