Comau, a global leader in industrial automation products and system solutions, has joined forces with EXECHON, an international company with patented technology for developing advanced parallel machine tool solutions, to design and build a brand-new Comau machining center. This center will provide machining solutions for lightweight frames and structural components in multiple industries, with a particular focus on the automotive, aerospace, and electrification sectors.
The machining market is constantly evolving: the application of lightweight components is expanding to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions; electrification is becoming increasingly important in the automotive industry; and the production complexity in the aerospace sector is constantly increasing. Developing innovative machining methods to process large, complex aluminum alloy parts is of pioneering significance. Comau and Excon have therefore entered into a strategic partnership, in which both parties will fully leverage their respective technological advantages to develop practical and cost-effective machining solutions for customers.
