Basic tools for configuring safety loops
PNOZmulti Configurator allows for easy creation of safety loops on a computer. The configuration tool supports users in the design, configuration, documentation, and commissioning of Pilz control system projects.
On the graphical Windows® compatible user interface, all components are available as safety circuit icons or in the selection menu. Online help information, including documentation, is available when configuring the safety circuit. Once complete, the software tool will check the circuit for any errors.
To prevent accidental modification, fully configurable security loops can be certified. Users can edit, modify, or add uncertified configurations to security loops at any time. These can be invoked simply by using the PNOZmulti Configurator, and the configurations can also be printed and used as files.
PNOZmulti Configurator 10.1 Version 2
Two new operating mode selection elements (function blocks) are available for functional safety operating mode selection, up to PL d / SIL CL 2. When combined with the operating mode selection and access authorization system PITmode (especially PITreader ), you can select the operating mode of devices and machines through two user-friendly safety solutions.
Operating modes can be selected via buttons: The operating mode can be selected using the PIT oe4S button box or standard commercial buttons. Selection permissions are configured with the PITreader and the corresponding RFID Key . The selected operating mode can be read in the PNOZmulti 2 .
Operating modes can be selected via the touchscreen panel; alternatively, they can be securely selected via the keyboard on the HMI. Operating modes can also be securely selected via the operator and the PMIvisu visualization terminal. Furthermore, relevant configurations can be used to grant selection permissions via a PITreader and RFID Key .
To control access permissions, the new software version 10.12 allows up to four PITreader devices to connect to the PNOZ mb1 base unit.
Starting with version 10.12, the PNOZ m B1 Burner (a new basic unit for the PNOZmulti 2 compact controller ) is also supported , specifically for industrial furnace management applications. It enables safe control and monitoring of the furnace using an integrated burner function block, in accordance with EN 50156 and EN 298 requirements. The PNOZmulti 2 also handles all other equipment-related safety functions.
