Dongyouda's Measures to Prevent Grease Evaporation in Linear Modules

Methods to prevent grease evaporation in linear modules: Vacuum lubricating greases are used. If ordinary lubricating greases are used in a vacuum environment, the oil contained in the grease will evaporate, and the grease will also lose its lubricating ability. Therefore, we generally use vacuum-specific lubricating greases, which use fluorinated oil with low vapor pressure as the base oil for operation. Solid lubrication, specifically the S-film lubrication method, is an all-solid lubrication developed for use in atmospheric pressure to high vacuum environments. Compared with other brands of solid lubrication methods, it has superior load resistance, wear resistance, and linear module tightness. If servo electric cylinders do not want to be used in a liquid lubrication environment, other lubrication methods besides grease or oil lubrication can also be used.

With the advancement of high-tech civilization, the demand for automated equipment will continue to grow, and the requirements for precision will become increasingly stringent, making maintenance and protection a high-level requirement. Therefore, we need to continuously innovate and jointly create a better tomorrow for our homeland. Expanding knowledge: Temperature has a significant impact on machinery. When lubricating linear guide rails, avoid using too much oil, as this can easily lead to high temperatures and damage to the machinery. System temperature has a significant impact on the material of linear guide rails. When the temperature exceeds 100℃, the rated load and service life of the linear guide rail will decrease significantly. At this point, the dynamic and static rated loads are standard values multiplied by the corresponding temperature coefficient. The linear motor's corresponding determining factors and principle are derived. Brief description of the replacement and handling precautions for synchronous belt linear module guide rail sliders: 1) In cases of high resistance, the walking arm guide rail slider needs to be cleaned. Wipe the guide rail with a cotton cloth. After cleaning, use WD40 as an auxiliary cleaning agent to clean foreign objects from the guide rail edges. 2) After cleaning, run your hand along the edge of the guide rail and slowly move it in the same direction to check for wear. If you feel any burrs, pay attention, as this may indicate wear. At this point, slowly push the traveling arm forward and check if the resistance of the slider is high or if the traveling arm is difficult to push. If the resistance of the miniature electric motor is high, the guide rail needs to be replaced immediately. 3) When cleaning the motor, check for small ball bearings inside. If ball bearings are found, the synchronous belt linear module needs to be cleaned and the slider replaced. 4) Gently push the traveling arm forward and listen to the sound of the slider sliding. If there is a lot of friction noise, the slider needs to be replaced. 5) Check the air gap between the motor stator and rotor to see if they are aligned. Inconsistency can easily lead to a decrease in the service life of the guide rail and slider; single-axis arms will need to be adjusted in time. 6) Carefully observe whether the ball bearings of the slider match the guide rail groove. The oxidation stability of grease for synchronous belt linear guide modules refers to its ability to resist the effects of heat and oxygen during long-term storage or prolonged use at high temperatures, maintaining its properties without permanent change. Oxidation often leads to a decrease in free alkali content or an increase in free organic acid content, a decrease in dropping point, a darkening of appearance, the development of an unpleasant odor, a decrease in viscosity and strength limits (similar to a decrease in viscosity), the formation of corrosive products and substances that damage the grease structure, and, in direct contact with robotic arms, the formation of soap-oil separation. Therefore, during long-term storage, grease should be kept in a dry, well-ventilated environment, avoiding exposure to direct sunlight. Regular checks should be conducted on changes in free alkali, free organic acid, and corrosiveness to ensure its quality and performance.
