I. Definition of Dimensional Inspection

II. Methods for Dimensional Inspection

The actual dimensions of a product are often indispensable, but due to the complexity of the object's shape or limitations imposed by objective physical conditions, they may be unavailable. Machine vision inspection technology can effectively address such problems. In traditional automated production, typical methods for dimensional inspection include using micrometers, vernier calipers, and feeler gauges. However, these measurement methods suffer from low accuracy and slow speed, failing to meet the demands of large-scale automated production. Machine vision-based dimensional inspection is a non-contact measurement method with advantages such as high accuracy, high speed, low cost, and easy installation. It can inspect various dimensions of parts, such as length, height, width, circle, angle, arc, concentricity, inner and outer diameters, weld area, number of teeth, and perpendicularity.

III. Application Scope of Dimension Inspection

Electronic components, automotive parts, mobile phone parts, screws and nuts, hardware, magnetic materials, composite material components such as plastics and ceramics, magnesium, aluminum and their alloys, etc.

IV. Dimensional Inspection Equipment
