The function of pressure transmitter

Pressure transmitters are commonly used sensors in industrial practice, and their development has achieved significant technological breakthroughs. Transmitters are an important component of automatic control systems, primarily used for the measurement and control of pressure parameters in industrial processes, with wide applications in petroleum, chemical, and power industries. Pressure transmitters come in many types, classified in different ways according to their working principles and applications. Primarily used for remote pressure display and control, pressure transmitters often operate in environments with high temperature, low pressure, corrosion, and vibration, resulting in a relatively high probability of failure. Therefore, research on the influencing factors and common faults of pressure transmitters is of great significance.

The pressure transmitter consists of a modular circuit, a display head, a pressure sensor, and a housing. The pressure difference from the pressure guide tubes on both sides acts on the diaphragms on both sides of the transmitter sensor. The measuring element converts the received pressure signal into a standard current and voltage signal, and sends the signal to the alarm, recorder, and regulator for secondary measurement.

Pressure sensors are widely used. Whether they are domestic or imported transmitters, various malfunctions can occur during use due to working environment, improper human operation, or their own reasons. Therefore, it is necessary not only to operate according to the standard specifications in the instruction manual, but also to master the correct fault diagnosis, maintenance, and repair knowledge in order to ensure the service life and measurement accuracy of the pressure sensor.
