Lithium-ion battery charging methods
1. When charging lithium-ion batteries, it is best to use the original manufacturer's dedicated charger; otherwise, it may affect or damage the polymer lithium-ion battery.
2. Lithium-ion batteries are best charged slowly to avoid fast charging. Repeated charging and discharging can also affect the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries.
3. Prevent charging at excessively high temperatures. If lithium batteries are used in environments above the specified operating temperature, i.e., above 35°C, the battery capacity will continuously decrease, meaning the battery's power supply time will not be as long as usual.
4. Avoid charging at excessively low temperatures. If lithium batteries are used in low-temperature environments, i.e. below 4C, the battery life will also be reduced. Some original lithium batteries in mobile phones may not even be able to charge in low-temperature environments.
5. Before leaving the factory, lithium-ion batteries undergo activation and pre-charging. Therefore, all lithium-ion batteries have residual power. Lithium-ion batteries are charged according to the adjustment period, which requires 3 to 5 complete charge and discharge cycles.
6. Do not intentionally discharge lithium-ion batteries before charging, as improper discharge can damage the battery. When charging, use slow charging as much as possible and minimize fast charging; do not charge for more than 24 hours. The internal chemical substances of the battery will be fully activated and reach optimal performance after three to five complete charge-discharge cycles.
7. Lithium-ion batteries must be charged with a dedicated charger; otherwise, they may not reach full charge, affecting their performance. After charging is complete, avoid leaving the battery on the charger for more than 12 hours. When not in use for extended periods, the battery should be separated from the portable electronic device.
