Sharing the wiring method of the load cell

The load cell can adopt two different input and output wiring methods:

One type is the four-wire connection method.

Four-wire load cells have no special requirements for the secondary instrument panel and are very quick to use. However, when the cable is long, they are very susceptible to the effects of factors such as fluctuating operating temperatures.

Another method is the six-wire connection.

The six-wire connection method of the load cell requires the secondary instrument panel to be used with it to have a response input interface. The usage specifications are subject to certain restrictions, but it is not easily affected by factors such as fluctuations in operating temperature. It has certain advantages in high-precision and long-distance accurate measurement.

How to wire using two methods:

The first step is to clearly identify the power supply positive, power supply negative, response positive, response negative, data signal positive, and data signal negative on the sensor connector on the display screen. For a 6-wire transmitter, the two sets of wires with the lowest sensor resistance are power supply positive and response positive, and power supply negative and response negative, respectively. After receiving the sensor data on the display screen, accurately measure the current (mV) of the other two wires. Connect the positive wire to the display's data signal positive and the negative wire to the display's data signal negative. For a 4-wire transmitter, connect the display's power supply positive to response positive and the power supply negative to response negative. Use a multimeter to measure the four sensor wires; the two with the higher resistance are the power supply wires, and the other two are the data signal wires.

Based on the sensor's origin, the wire colors can be used to distinguish them. Generally, red represents the positive of the power supply, black represents the negative of the power supply, yellow represents the positive of the data signal, and white represents the negative of the data signal.
