Solar photovoltaic (PV) mounting brackets are special supports designed for placing, installing, and fixing solar panels in a solar photovoltaic power generation system. Currently, the most commonly used solar PV mounting brackets in my country are mainly made of three materials: concrete, steel, and aluminum alloy.
1. Concrete support frame: mainly used in large photovoltaic power stations. Due to its heavy weight, it can only be placed in the field and in areas with good foundations. However, it has high stability and can support huge solar panels.
2. Aluminum alloy brackets: These are generally used in rooftop solar energy applications for residential buildings. Aluminum alloys are corrosion-resistant, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing, and durable. However, their low self-load capacity makes them unsuitable for solar power plant projects. Additionally, aluminum alloys are slightly more expensive than hot-dip galvanized steel.
3. Steel brackets: Stable performance, mature manufacturing process, high load-bearing capacity, and easy installation; widely used in civil and industrial solar photovoltaic and solar power plants. The steel profiles are all factory-produced, with uniform specifications, stable performance, excellent corrosion resistance, and an attractive appearance.
It's worth mentioning that the modular steel support system can be installed on-site simply by assembling the channel steel using specially designed connectors. This allows for rapid construction, eliminates the need for welding, and ensures the integrity of the anti-corrosion layer. The disadvantage of this product is that the connectors are complex to manufacture, come in many varieties, and require high standards in production, manufacturing, and design, resulting in a relatively high price.
In order to maximize the power output of the entire photovoltaic power generation system, the supporting structure that fixes the solar modules in a certain orientation, arrangement and spacing, taking into account the geographical, climatic and solar energy resource conditions of the construction site, is usually a steel structure and an aluminum alloy structure, or a combination of the two.
