Recently, Apple's Pro Display XDR has finally been released! Two versions are available: a standard glass version and a Nano-textune glass version. The standard glass version is priced at $4,999 (approximately 39,999 RMB), while the Nano-textune glass version is priced at $5,999 (approximately 47,999 RMB).
Apple's newly launched Pro Display XDR boasts high-end specifications and features, but it lacks a webcam for video calls. Seeing this opportunity, major accessory manufacturers have been quick to respond with various innovative ideas, with Logitech being the fastest to act. Logitech has reportedly created a 4K Pro magnetic webcam specifically for the Pro Display XDR and launched it simultaneously.
According to Logitech, the Logitech 4K Pro Magnetic webcam is "the first webcam specifically designed for the new Apple Pro Display XDR." In other words, Logitech created a housing for the webcam that allows it to fit perfectly onto the XDR screen's frame, maintaining its attachment even when the XDR is rotated to portrait mode.
The device features RightLight 3 technology and a 4K ultra-high-definition webcam, ensuring excellent image quality even in direct sunlight or low light conditions. RightLight 3 automatically adjusts the capture to highlight people in the scene. Furthermore, because it connects via a magnetic base, there are no hanging clips above the screen, preventing damage to the XDR frame. The included 2-meter USB-C to USB-C cable allows the camera to be neatly concealed behind the monitor.
The Logitech 4K Pro Magnetic Camera is currently available for $199.99 from Logitech.com or Apple.com, and I suspect it will also be available in Apple Stores in the near future, depending on how quickly the stock disappears.
