Maintenance and care methods for lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles
1. Environmental factors affect the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries.
Battery life is also affected by the environment. The product can be used in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C. High temperatures will affect its lifespan, while low temperatures will reduce the effective capacity by 20%-30% (affecting the driving range).
2. Do not allow the battery to get wet in rain or be immersed in water.
If you do not use the battery for an extended period, please charge it once every 90 days. Do not store it when it is completely discharged. Once the battery voltage reaches an over-discharged state, it will cause great and irreversible damage to the lithium iron ion battery.
3. When the battery is completely depleted, it must be charged as soon as possible.
Do not completely deplete the battery during each ride. Doing so will significantly reduce its lifespan. Remember this! Lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect and can be recharged at any time. Therefore, you should develop the habit of charging the battery promptly after each use. This can extend battery life by 3-5 times.
4. Charge it every day.
Even if you don't need a long driving range and can use it for 2 to 3 days on a single charge, it is still recommended that you charge it every day. This keeps the lithium-ion battery in a shallow cycle state, which will extend the life of the electric vehicle's lithium-ion battery.
