Correct usage of lithium-ion batteries
1. Discharge
Lithium-ion batteries should not be discharged before recharging, as doing so can actually shorten their lifespan. Regular deep discharges are beneficial for "activating" the battery and can slightly increase its capacity. A common method is to periodically perform a complete discharge of the battery.
2. Activate
Lithium-ion batteries need to be activated, but they have already been activated after production, so users do not need to activate them again.
3. Does it need to be charged for 12 hours?
Some people claim that lithium-ion batteries should be fully charged for 12 hours on their first charge, but this is not the case. In fact, doing so will affect the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries.
4. Charging environment
The optimal charging environment for lithium-ion batteries is 25 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too low, the charging speed of lithium-ion batteries will be relatively slow, while if the temperature is too high, it will affect the quality of lithium-ion batteries.
5. Capacity of lithium-ion batteries
There are many types of lithium-ion batteries, and the capacity of different types of lithium-ion batteries also varies. Higher capacity lithium-ion batteries will affect the cycle life of lithium-ion batteries.
6. Storage environment
When not in use, lithium-ion batteries should be stored in a cool, ventilated place, away from high temperatures and humidity. Avoid riding them in the rain, and if you must ride them, take precautions to prevent water from entering the battery. Do not strike, puncture, step on, modify, or expose the battery to direct sunlight. Do not place the battery in microwave or high-voltage environments.
