Abstract : This paper focuses on the characteristics of high-speed cutting and related key technologies such as high-speed spindle unit, linear motor feed system and high-speed cutting tools. Keywords : high-speed cutting; high-speed machine tools; cutting tools High-speed cutting is a rapidly developing high-tech field in recent years . It is characterized by high cutting speed, high precision, and large feed, demonstrating a promising future for efficient and low-consumption cutting of metallic materials under high-speed cutting conditions. In the 1990s, with the development of science and technology, high-speed machine tools and high-speed cutting tools emerged. High-speed machining has been widely used in industries such as aerospace, mold making, and automobiles, generating significant economic benefits. High-speed machining requires not only high spindle speeds but also high axial feed rates and accelerations, as well as advanced cutting tools and related technologies.
