Abstract: One of the goals of optimizing and controlling linear motor-driven presses is to obtain the maximum instantaneous impact force by controlling various parameters of the linear motor. Due to the special requirements of linear motor-driven presses on the size and structure of the force measuring device, a dedicated force sensor was designed to measure the magnitude (r) of the instantaneous impact force of the linear motor-driven press. Results show that the designed force sensor has good performance. The author has designed a special force to measure the force of the transient strike the result has shown that the force sensor performs verywel1 . Introduction To achieve automatic control of the punch stroke and impact force of a linear motor-driven stamping press, it is necessary to measure the impact force within a certain stroke range and input the real-time test data into a computer. The computer then performs overall automatic control of the system, thus achieving automation of the entire system. The force sensor converts the measured impact force into an electrical signal through strain gauges, which is then converted into a digital signal by an A/D converter and input into the computer for processing. Due to the special requirements of linear motor-driven stamping presses on the size and structure of the force-sensing device, many force sensors on the market cannot meet the system testing needs. Therefore, we designed a dedicated force sensor to measure the magnitude of the transient impact force of a linear motor-driven stamping press. Through experiments, we can determine the influence of various parameters of the linear motor on the transient impact force of the linear motor-driven stamping press. Ultimately, this provides a basis for the optimized design of linear motor-driven stamping presses.
