Abstract : This paper introduces the feasibility and implementation plan of applying transducers to water pumps. The results show that the application of transducers to water pumps can reduce equipment maintenance and save energy. Key words : transducer; saving; application 1 Introduction Our company uses groundwater as its water source . The water is pumped into a 200 m2 low-level water tower by a deep well pump. Then, the water in the low-level water tower is pumped into an 800 m2 water tower by a clean water pump. The elevated water tower supplies water to various user departments via gravity flow (the water pumps were selected with a margin of safety, indicating significant energy-saving potential). During operation, human negligence can easily lead to: 1) Water overflowing from the elevated water tower while the clean water pump continues operating (wasting energy and increasing equipment wear); 2) The low-level water tower running dry while the clean water pump continues operating (damaging equipment). 2. Feasibility of Variable Speed Operation of Water Pumps The pump house is equipped with two D125-25×4 clean water pumps, with a head H=86m and a flow rate Q=110 m³/h (equipped with Y200L2-2 motors, speed 2980r/min, 37 kW), both operating on a "one-in, one-out" basis.
