Abstract : This paper introduces the exploration and experience of Harbin Huaneng Central Heating Co., Ltd. in applying variable frequency speed control equipment, and also presents the technical characteristics of the high-voltage variable frequency device from Dongfang Hitachi Co., Ltd. Through comparison under different operating conditions, it is shown that the use of the high-voltage variable frequency system has significant energy-saving effects and improves the safety and reliability of the system.

Application of high voltage converter technology in boiler fan of circulating fluidized bed for heating plant BI Bin—zeng, GONG Bing (Harbin Huaneng Centralized heating Co Ltd, Harbin 150026, China)
Abstract： Exploration and experience about application of VVVF in Harbin Huane～ Centrahzed Heating CoLtd is introduced． Technical characteristics of high voltage converter made by On'ental—Hitachi Company are given． Tl~ough comparison of diferent working conditions, it is shown that remarkable energy saving effect was obtained and safety and reliability were achieved after using high voltage converter system．

0 Introduction
The heat source plant, constructed by Harbin Huaneng Central Heating Co., Ltd., is designed with six 116 MW circulating fluidized bed hot water boilers, three 75 t/h circulating fluidized bed steam boilers, and two 12 MW back-pressure turbine generator units, covering a total heating area of 18 million m2 and a maximum heat load of 1054.8 MW. Construction began in 2003, and by the end of 2005, four 116 MW hot water boilers, three 75 t/h steam boilers, and two 12 MW back-pressure turbine units were in operation. All nine circulating fluidized bed boilers were manufactured by Harbin Boiler Factory, with the 116 MW circulating fluidized bed boiler being the first and currently the largest circulating fluidized bed boiler produced by the factory in China.
