Abstract : Currently, inverters have entered a stage of high performance, multi-functionality, miniaturization, and low cost. To facilitate the proper use of inverters, this paper will briefly discuss the selection process of inverter capacity. Keywords : Inverter Capacity selection Proof test 1 Introduction With the rapid development of power electronics, microelectronics, computer technology, and control theory, AC drive systems have achieved performance comparable to DC speed regulation in terms of wide speed range, high precision, fast response, and four-quadrant operation. In particular , variable frequency speed regulation, with inverters as its core, is recognized as the most promising speed regulation method due to its excellent speed regulation performance. Selection of Frequency Converter Capacity Selecting the capacity of a frequency converter is an important and complex issue. The matching between the frequency converter capacity and the motor capacity must be considered. If the capacity is too small, it will affect the effective torque output of the motor, impacting the normal operation of the system and even damaging the equipment.
