Trajectory planning system of domestic MCT8000 motion controller

Abstract : High speed, high precision, high efficiency, and high reliability are the four key indicators of high-performance CNC. A trajectory planning system integrating acceleration/deceleration control and fast interpolation calculation was developed based on the domestically produced MCT800 motion control card. This paper introduces the motion trajectory planning scheme and implementation method of this system and provides an application example. Keywords : Motion control, CNC trajectory planning 1 Introduction High speed, high precision, high efficiency, and high reliability are the four key indicators of high-performance CNC. High speed requires the CNC system to have high-speed calculation, fast interpolation, ultra-high-speed communication, and ultra-high-speed spindle operation capabilities. Fast interpolation calculation technology involves continuously improving the performance of linear and circular interpolation calculations, endowing the interpolator with direct surface interpolation calculation functions, realizing the approximation of small segments of complex-shaped curved parts, and setting up a dedicated function generator to perform high-speed interpolation calculations such as splines, polar coordinates, involutes, exponential functions, and sine functions. High precision requires the CNC system to embody high-resolution position detection and digital servo control technology. The characteristic of digital servo control technology lies in its application of modern control theory, enabling acceleration and deceleration control before (or after) interpolation to minimize machining contour errors. High efficiency requires CNC systems to possess high-performance servo technology for spindle control, automatic detection technology, and automatic start-stop control technology to facilitate stepless speed regulation and position control of the spindle.
