Abstract : The control of multi-motor synchronous coordinated operation of AC motors mostly relies on VVVF frequency converters. This article introduces the characteristics, principles, and control accuracy of AC variable frequency synchronous speed regulation. Keywords : AC motor; multi-motor synchronous coordinated operation; synchronous control 1. Overview The control of multi-motor synchronous coordinated operation of AC motors mostly relies on VVVF (Variable Frequency) frequency converters, including computer, microcontroller, or PLC-controlled synchronous speed regulation systems. In the control system of a multi-drive synchronous control lifting stage, although it is more complex than other systems, its synchronous control mode is relatively simple. Mainly, the driven motor follows the movement of the driven motor when the driving motor runs at a certain speed, and the movement of the driving motor does not have any special requirements (e.g., the driving motor is required to move according to a certain curve or the control logic has special requirements). The frequency converter can be used as an execution unit or a control unit in an automatic control system. When used as an execution unit, the frequency converter receives control signals from the regulating unit and changes the frequency of the output power supply according to the control requirements; when used as a control unit, the frequency converter itself also functions as a regulating unit, independently completing the control and regulation role. Furthermore, some general-purpose frequency converters can be equipped with corresponding options to adapt to special control functions such as position control, synchronous control, speed control, and torque control. These special control functions can be achieved simply by adding these options to the general-purpose frequency converter, thus meeting the high requirements of such applications. 2. Characteristics of AC Variable Frequency Synchronous Speed Regulation Its main circuit uses an intelligent power module with drive circuits, overcurrent protection, and high-temperature protection circuits. Its control circuit uses a high-speed 32-bit simplified instruction microprocessor as the CPU and employs ultra-high-density large-scale integrated circuits. In terms of control modes, it is equipped with a high-performance U/f control mode. This enables performance such as low-speed drive and high starting torque, which are difficult to achieve with ordinary frequency converters. Using this control mode, the frequency converter can drive the motor with more than 120% of the load torque starting from 2Hz. Its starting torque can reach 150%, and it reduces the speed accuracy error of the motor.
