Abstract : This article details the application of frequency converters in the loading mechanism and transfer machine drive of the blackening furnace production line, explaining that AC asynchronous motor + frequency converter drive can meet various speed regulation requirements in most industrial production scenarios, and also discusses the issues that should be considered when selecting a frequency converter. Keywords : Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Variable Frequency Speed Regulation, Multi-Speed Speed Matching. In modern industrial production, the pursuit of excellence in the quality of key components has led to increasingly detailed production processes and more sophisticated, complex, and diverse equipment. The entire production process can be viewed as an integration of various equipment from multiple manufacturers. Due to the diversification of processing equipment and the compatibility requirements of processing components, the issue of connecting the transmission speeds between different devices during production arises. It is impossible to provide an optimal speed match during the equipment design and ordering stage. A generally feasible method is to calculate an approximate speed range based on the process requirements and output of key equipment. To coordinate the production cycle, the transmission speed of each device must be adjustable within a certain range. This is achieved through on-site commissioning during the trial production stage. Since most equipment in modern industrial production uses AC asynchronous motors, the simplest and most effective way to ensure that the speed of the equipment is adjustable within a certain range is to use an AC asynchronous motor + frequency converter drive. This combination can meet various speed regulation needs within a certain range. The Rainbow Blackening Furnace Production Line is a typical application, as shown in Plan View 1. Production Process The Rainbow Blackening Furnace Production Line is the main equipment for producing shadow masks for picture tubes. This production line is compatible with the production of shadow masks of two different materials and models. The cleaning and blackening processes for the two shadow mask materials differ. Only one type of shadow mask material is used at a time for continuous production. When a different shadow mask material needs to be added, the previous material is first removed from the furnace, then the gear shift switch on the blackening furnace's electrical control cabinet is switched to the appropriate position, and then heating is initiated for continuous production of the new material.
