Abstract : This paper mainly introduces the application of touch screen, PLC, and frequency converter in the F1528 spinning frame, and elaborates on the role and implementation method of the three main intelligent components in improving the electrical control level of the spinning frame. To adapt to the development of the textile machinery market, our company has developed the F1528 high-speed spinning frame, which features high speed, gearbox oil bath lubrication, touch screen operation display, PLC automatic control, and frequency conversion speed regulation. Compared with traditional spinning frames, it has faster speed, higher control precision, wider adaptability to spinning varieties, convenient and simple operation, operation prompts, fault diagnosis functions, automatic control of the spinning process, and can perform fixed length and timed doffing. 1 System Principle The PLC reads the data set in the touch screen and performs calculations, collects various signals from the input terminal, and drives the motors to operate by controlling the frequency converter and contactor, so that the whole machine runs automatically and in coordination according to the program. At the same time, the data or fault information that needs to be displayed is displayed through the touch screen. The PLC uses communication control for the frequency converter, periodically comparing the detected spindle speed with the set spindle speed. When the deviation is too large (≥3%), the entire machine automatically stops, and the touch screen displays the alarm message "Please check the pulley ratio, motor model, or frequency converter." When the deviation is relatively large (<3% and ≥0.5%), the frequency converter output frequency is automatically and appropriately corrected, achieving a simple closed-loop speed control. 2. System Hardware Composition The main components used in the electrical system include: PLC, touch screen frequency converter, sensors, motors, and low-voltage electrical components (structural block diagram shown in Figure 1). 2.1 Sensor and Command Switch Signal Input Section This section consists of the main spindle, front and rear roller sensors, forming roller position sensor, ring rail travel sensor, and command switches. The main spindle front and rear roller sensors measure speed, and the PLC calculates the corresponding spindle speed, spinning length, output, draft ratio, twist, and yarn count. The forming roller position sensor ensures that the yarn stops in a specific sequence and position, which is beneficial for the next start-up, reduces yarn breakage, and enables automatic yarn lead retention. The ring rail travel sensor determines the position of the ring rail during start-up, full yarn loading, and doffing. The command switches are used to send start-up and mid-cycle stop commands.
