Abstract : To meet the requirements of reliable and stable operation and convenient operation of the drive system in aviation power supply test benches, a method combining frequency converter control and computer control was adopted to control the variable frequency motor. The computer and frequency converter are connected only through a serial port, forming a simple and multifunctional control system. The experimental results verify its ease of operation and improved performance. Keywords : Variable frequency speed regulation, aviation power supply, motor 0 Introduction With the continuous development of aviation technology, higher requirements have been placed on the accurate testing of various parameters of aviation power supplies. Therefore, aviation power supply test benches must be continuously enhanced in terms of function, performance, testing speed, and testing accuracy to meet these requirements. The drive system is an important component of the test bench. With the gradual improvement of AC speed regulation transmission theory and the development of power electronics technology, power conversion technology has matured, and AC drives have been widely used in electrical drives. AC motors are characterized by simple structure, low price, and durability, and they have advantages comparable to DC motors in high-speed and high-capacity transmission. In the industrial field, speed regulation of AC motors is often required, and AC variable frequency speed regulation technology is currently widely used. On the one hand, AC variable frequency speed control technology has been widely used in AC motor speed control due to its advantages such as high efficiency and good performance; on the other hand, there are constantly emerging system requirements for technical specifications and demanding special applications. With the rapid development of microelectronics and computer technology, and the improvement of control theory, AC motor control is advancing rapidly. In the drive system of the aviation power supply test bench, a closed-loop speed control system composed of an AC variable frequency motor and a frequency converter is adopted. A computer forms another closed-loop system to monitor and control the speed to meet the steady-state and dynamic performance requirements in aviation power supply testing. 1 System Hardware Structure The aviation power supply system parameter testing requires high testing speed, high accuracy, and a relatively large data processing volume, making it a medium-sized measurement and control system. The aviation power supply testing is completed by the test computer. This system can operate in coordination with the test computer or independently control the drive motor for testing by the test bench. The system consists of a computer, a frequency converter, a variable frequency motor, and a speed increaser, as shown in Figure 1.
