Abstract: In order to solve the problem of network delay affecting the dynamic performance of Internet-based remote control system, a delay compensation link with delay predictor is designed in the structure of remote control system. Simulation results show that as long as the delay predictor can accurately predict the transmission delay of the network online, the remote control system with delay compensation link can achieve dynamic performance close to that of local control system. Introduction With the popularization of Internet, global control engineers urgently need to use cheap network resources to realize remote process control in a timely and effective way anywhere in the world. Moreover, the research results of remote control technology have a transformative and far-reaching significance for the research, development and application of military and civilian products. Therefore, the research on Internet-based remote control system has received increasing attention from researchers around the world. At present, the technical specifications to be achieved by the system design, system security design and web user interface design have been systematically studied [1-2]. However, due to the uncertainty of Internet transmission delay, existing remote control systems such as ICS [3] have not solved the problem of Internet transmission delay well, either theoretically or practically. This paper designs a delay compensation stage with a delay predictor within a traditional control structure to compensate for the impact of internet latency on the dynamic performance of the control system. Simulation results show that as long as the delay predictor can accurately predict the network transmission latency online, the remote control system employing the delay compensation stage can achieve ideal dynamic performance.
