For example, a 300,000 kW thermal power generating unit requires approximately 50 fans of various sizes, with a total installed power of about 13,000 kW. The system includes 2 induced draft fans (2500 kW each), 2 forced draft fans (1600 kW each), 4 pulverized coal exhaust fans (850 kW each), 2 recirculation fans (475 kW each), and various other exhaust fans, air coolers, and fans. Annual power consumption is nearly 70 million kW, accounting for approximately 3.5% of annual power generation. 2. Water Pump Energy Consumption: Water pumps are the most power-consuming equipment in a power plant. In thermal power plants, water pump power consumption accounts for approximately 40% of the plant's total power consumption. A 300,000 kW thermal power generating unit requires more than 80 pumps of various types, with an installed capacity of approximately 18,000 kW. Annual power consumption is nearly 100 million kWh, accounting for 4-5% of the plant's power generation. This includes 2 boiler feed water pumps (5600 kW each), 3 circulating water pumps (1100 kW each), and 2 condensate pumps (550 kW each), etc. These pumps have high installed capacity and long operating time, consuming over 80% of the electricity of water pumps in thermal power plants, making them a key focus of power plant water pump upgrades.
