Abstract : This paper introduces the composition, function, working principle, and debugging method of the electro-hydraulic servo control system of an aluminum foil rolling mill in a certain factory. Keywords : aluminum foil rolling mill; electro-hydraulic servo system; debugging 1 Introduction The roughing and finishing rolling mills in a certain aluminum foil workshop are imported from the German company ACHEN-BACH, which possesses advanced international aluminum foil rolling equipment of the 20th century. The mills adopt four-roll irreversible constant rolling force and two rolling processes: with and without roll gap. The final product is aluminum foil with B=1.55m and δ=2 x 6 μm. To achieve high-precision and high-quality aluminum foil products, the entire mill adopts a variety of advanced hydraulic control technologies. In particular, the hydraulic push-up system of the rolling mill adopts SCA (Sergeyserer Inc.) hydraulic servo control technology. It uses electro-hydraulic servo valves to control the pushing up of the rolling mill rolls, with feedback control provided by high-precision roll gap displacement and pressure sensors. This fully hydraulic structure is developed based on electro-hydraulic control and mechanical servo valve control. Compared with the electro-hydraulic push-up system controlled by mechanical servo valves, this structure and control method are simpler, more stable, more reliable, and more precise. Therefore, it is internationally recognized as the most ideal rolling mill push-up control method. Especially in Western European countries, this structure and control method are basically adopted in aluminum foil rolling mills. A brief introduction to the structure and debugging of the SCA electro-hydraulic servo control system is given below.
