Abstract : This paper introduces the research and development trends of high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems; presents the methods and approaches for achieving high operating bandwidth in large-flow electro-hydraulic servo valves; and outlines potential new application areas for high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems in the future. Keywords : Electro-hydraulic servo system; Servo valve; Frequency; Acoustic sweeping mine; Acoustic communication 1 Overview The development trend of high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems is towards operating frequencies above 1000 Hz (operating frequency refers to the frequency at which the system can perform certain tasks, such as the upper limit operating frequency of a vibration table, which is the frequency value when the vibration amplitude drops by -12 dB) to meet the needs of vibration environment testing and material fatigue testing in the process of new product development. The operating frequency of an electro-hydraulic servo system mainly depends on the bandwidth of the servo valve; therefore, research on improving the bandwidth of electro-hydraulic servo valves has never stopped. High-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems are commonly used in systems such as high-frequency hydraulic vibration tables and high-frequency material testing machines. With the development of science and technology and the development of high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems themselves, they have been successfully used to generate "spectrum-controllable" strong acoustic waves. In this type of equipment, the high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo system functions as a sound wave generator. Looking ahead to future applications, it's entirely possible to use high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems for underwater acoustic communication. 2. Application Requirements of High-Frequency Electro-hydraulic Servo Systems The development of high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems aims to meet practical engineering needs. When conducting vibration environment simulation tests on new technology products in aviation and aerospace, large-tonnage (above 100 kN) and high-frequency (above 1000 Hz) hydraulic vibration tables are required. Ideally, the upper limit of the hydraulic vibration table's operating frequency should reach 2000 Hz, allowing for the completion of vibration environment simulation tests across the entire frequency band on a single hydraulic vibration table, rather than conducting low-frequency tests on a hydraulic vibration table and high-frequency tests on an electromagnetic vibration table. To shorten the development cycle of new materials and components, equipment for material fatigue testing also requires high operating frequencies. In some military projects, there is also an urgent need for high-frequency electro-hydraulic servo systems to improve the rapid response capability of weaponry.
