SCARA & Delta robot applications

2026-04-06 06:14:33 · · #1

Robot technology plays a vital role in a production unit of a certain scale. This is because robots offer precise positioning, high productivity, no visual fatigue, can work day and night, eliminate the hassle of personnel changes, and can handle special working conditions such as toxic environments and high temperatures.

Microseconds' new product: RSD300 series servo drives take into account the following characteristics of robot use.

Robotic arms typically need to control more than four spatial degrees of freedom, meaning they need to drive at least four axes. The RSD300 series offers solutions for both SCARA and Delta robots.

The coordinate system of the installed robot arm and the production coordinate system based on the production line generally do not coincide. In actual use, a teaching function will be needed to complete the coordinate system transformation.

To facilitate human-computer interaction, teaching pendants must be supported.

The process of picking up and placing items may require some special displacements to bypass certain obstacles. The most basic form of movement is vertical take-off and landing, supplemented by horizontal translation and rotation to complete the main displacement.

To protect the mechanical parts of the robot's transmission from rigid and flexible impacts caused by movement, while also taking into account the speed of movement, a flexible motion scheme is required.

To maintain a high level of positioning accuracy for the robot during continuous operation (which is also a strength of servo systems), the RSD300 servo driver uses real-time absolute coordinate calculation for positioning. Under low workload conditions (where slippage is less likely), this reduces the number of zero-step operations and improves production efficiency.

The RSD300 series servo drives also feature high functional integration, meaning the servo system already integrates the functions of a robot controller, eliminating the need to purchase a separate robot controller. Single-axis power ranges from 50W to 4.5KW.

Microseconds possess independent intellectual property rights, and strong research capabilities form the basis for subsequent services.

Friendly reminder: When purchasing a robot, please refer to the load-bearing capacity parameters of the robot's mechanical parts, and calculate the required maximum torque and power of the motor.
