The principle and method of using a frequency converter to control a float valve for water control

I. The principle of the float switch in the float level controller is as follows:

Liquids all have buoyancy, and float systems (usually with corresponding auxiliary equipment) are designed based on the buoyancy of liquids. When the liquid level rises, the float system also rises accordingly.

Similarly, the float will also drop when the liquid level drops. When it rises or falls to the set position, the float system will hit the limit switch (or other microelectronic device) at the set position.

This causes the limit switch to send an electrical signal, and the electrical control equipment will immediately act upon receiving the signal, cutting off or connecting the power supply, thus forming an automatic control system.

II. Method of controlling water flow using a frequency converter and float valve

A float switch is essentially a liquid level measuring switch, used to determine the water level. When the water level is low, it can start the frequency converter to control the water pump; when the water level is higher than a certain value, it stops the frequency converter, thus stopping the water pump. Simply put, the frequency converter acts like a soft starter, because the float switch is just a switching signal; you just need to connect the switch contacts in series with the enable terminal of the frequency converter.
