DCS Emergency Response Plan

2026-04-06 06:06:03 · · #1

First and foremost, it must be emphasized that, due to the high time requirements of DCS operations, operators and maintenance personnel should work closely with DCS technicians during thermal operations and should not refuse or refuse to cooperate for any reason.

In the event of a DCS control system malfunction, operators should quickly assess the fault and its extent, and promptly report it to the shift supervisor and DCS technician. If the DCS technician cannot arrive in time, operators may perform the following actions after obtaining approval from the DCS technician, but must subsequently report back to the DCS technician.

1. The "Operation Supervision System" must be followed when performing the following operations. The shift leader shall perform the operation, and the deputy shall supervise to ensure that no misoperation occurs.

2. If all computers show that some parameters are abnormal, the thermal maintenance personnel should be notified to inspect the primary and secondary instruments.

3. If an individual computer malfunctions while other control computers function normally, forcibly restart that computer and start the FIX32 (DCS) computer system. During the startup process, do not perform any operations on the computer that are not required for engineering control.

4. If all computers fail to display many parameters correctly, operators can check if any indicator lights on the T940 and 2500 are flashing. If so, with the permission and guidance of the DCS technician, operators can reconnect the data cables specified by the technician. Generally, this operation should resolve most problems.

5. If the above steps fail to resolve the issue, all controls should be switched to the auxiliary control panel or local control. Simultaneously, all interlocks should be released, and relevant parameters and equipment operation should be closely monitored, following the operating procedures. Only after relevant personnel have identified and resolved the problem, and the test is running normally, can the system be switched back to DCS control.

The above outlines the emergency response capabilities and methods that operators should possess. When handling problems, operators must be bold yet meticulous and cautious to prevent misoperation from escalating the fault. In daily operations, everyone should take good care of the DCS system, avoiding placing anything arbitrarily inside the control panel to prevent system damage, and maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment.
