In variable frequency water supply systems, the technical terms "one-to-many" and "multi-split system" are probably familiar to everyone. Today, I'll share the differences between "one-to-many" and "multi-split system".
A multi-functional system refers to a system where one variable frequency pump (VFD) works in conjunction with one or more fixed frequency pumps. When the VFD runs at 50Hz and the feedback pressure has not yet reached the target pressure, the system will start the fixed frequency pump after a delay, forming a VFD + fixed frequency pump working mode. Once the feedback pressure reaches the target pressure and the VFD's operating frequency is below 35Hz, the fixed frequency pump will stop, and only the VFD will operate in the system.
When the feedback pressure is less than the target pressure, the relay terminal TA/TB closes, the AC contactor KM1 coil is energized, the normally open contact KM1 closes, and the power frequency pump starts, achieving multi-functional operation. As the working principle shows, the power frequency pump is directly started, and its starting current is generally 5-7 times the rated current of the motor. Therefore, to avoid damage to other electrical equipment, the power of the power frequency pump is generally below 7.5kW.
Multi-split system
The multi-unit function of the water pump frequency converter is achieved through RS485 communication. When one water pump frequency converter cannot meet the target pressure, the second water pump frequency converter will be started automatically. If it still cannot meet the target pressure, the third water pump frequency converter will be started, and so on.
Multi-split air conditioner functions are as follows:
1. Communication connection allows for automatic adjustment of water pumps based on water consumption, and timed rotation of water pumps to balance operating time;
2. It has a backup main unit function, which can automatically switch to operation in case of main unit failure to ensure normal water supply;
3. In the event of an auxiliary machine failure, the system will automatically switch to the faulty machine without affecting the operation of other equipment;
4. Full frequency conversion operation avoids damage to other equipment due to excessive starting current;
5. The upper computer monitoring function can monitor water pressure, frequency, current, and alarm status, and can be started and stopped via communication.
