[Jin Shengyang] A good horse needs a good saddle; a good saddle for laser equipment is...

On this special day of 520, I witnessed a romantic scene at the Ningbo Machine Tool Exhibition: exhibitors used laser marking machines to engrave the names of couples, which were then hung under the sweet 520.

Laser marking is one of the applications in the laser industry. The laser industry is mainly concentrated in Central China, the Pearl River Delta, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Bohai Rim region. With the development of the new industrial era of Germany's "Industry 4.0" and China's "Made in China 2025", the requirements for manufacturing are getting higher and higher, and the application fields of equipment are becoming more and more extensive, which in turn requires higher applicability of equipment.

As shown in the figure, the laser industry is divided into upstream, midstream, downstream, and application fields, demonstrating its wide range of applications. Among these, laser marking technology is one of the largest application areas of laser processing. Laser marking can produce various texts, symbols, and patterns, with character sizes ranging from millimeters to micrometers.

For example, the production date is "engraved" on the beverage bottle to prevent food products from being misled by dates, giving consumers more peace of mind when purchasing; for example, ceramic laser marking machines are used for ceramic processing, opening up endless possibilities for ceramic processing.

Laser marking technology, as a modern precision machining method, has unparalleled advantages compared to traditional processing methods such as printing, mechanical engraving, and electrical discharge machining. Laser marking machines are small in size, consume low power, have a long lifespan, are highly efficient, maintenance-free, possess high-quality laser beams, and require no consumables, making them essential equipment in the manufacturing industry. They are particularly suitable for fields requiring high precision, depth, and smoothness, such as metals, ceramics, glass, clothing, and food.

Compared to traditional marking methods, reliable, flexible, and precise laser marking is particularly "reliable." And this reliable equipment relies on reliable accessories.

Laser marking machines are mainly composed of a laser, a control board, a laser galvanometer, and structural components. Except for the structural components, all other parts require a power supply.

Depending on the specifications of the equipment, there are generally two types of power supply solutions available on the market.

The first type has power supplies distributed with the subsystem, mainly ±15V output, with power options of 60/100/150W.

The second type is an integrated power supply with three outputs, requiring only one three-in-one power supply.

Currently, there are corresponding power supply solutions on the market that can meet the requirements, but for equipment that needs to be exported, they cannot meet certain requirements to varying degrees.

First, regardless of the power supply solution, exported equipment must meet the certification requirements of each region, such as the EU CE certification requirements.

Secondly, there is a mismatch between domestic and international power grid inputs. Currently, the input voltage of mainstream power supplies is generally not compatible with the global voltage range. The most common solution is to install a frequency converter at the input end to convert 110V to 220V, which increases the size and cost of the equipment.

In response, after learning about the needs and feedback from customers in the laser industry, Mornsun developed corresponding power supply solutions and products for this industry.

The first type involves power supply distributed along with the subsystem.

Laser: Select LM350-12B24 (350W/24V), other power ranges can be referenced for products such as 450W, 600W, 1000W, etc.

Galvanometer: LMxx-12A15 is selected, with ±15V/60W, 100W, and 150W output, suitable for galvanometers of various power ranges; among them, for export requirements, the 60W/±15V chassis power input meets the global grid range (85-264VAC) and has passed CE certification.

Control board: LMxx-23Bxx, 5V or 12V power supply, power options include 15W, 25W, 35W, etc.

The second type is a three-in-one power supply solution.

Product features: small size, LMF500-10J240515-20 input meets global voltage range (85-264VAC), no DIP switch required, integrated active PFC, certified, high efficiency, etc.

Laser marking is an indispensable piece of equipment in the manufacturing industry and will become even more important in the future. Mornsun addresses the pain points of the laser industry's power supply market by segmenting needs and refining products. Based on its comprehensive power supply R&D platform, Mornsun responds quickly to help laser industry customers solve problems and is committed to providing the industry and customers with the highest quality power supplies, further promoting the development of the laser industry.
