The first type of lithium battery packaging: cylindrical lithium-ion battery.

Cylindrical lithium batteries can be categorized into lithium iron phosphate batteries, cobalt lithium ion batteries, ammonium sulfate lithium ion batteries, lithium phosphate batteries, cobalt manganese batteries, and steric materials. Currently, the key characteristics of Li-Fe-P rechargeable batteries are: large capacity, high output voltage, good battery cycle time, stable output voltage, large charging current, stable catalytic oxidation characteristics, high operating temperature, and environmental friendliness. They are used in solar streetlights, lawn lights, energy storage devices, pneumatic tools, toy models, etc.

A standard cylindrical battery consists of a cover, valve, switching power supply components, sealing ring, positive phase, negative phase, protective film, and casing.

In 1992, Sony Corporation of Japan developed and designed the first cylindrical lithium-ion battery. Because the 18650 cylindrical lithium-ion battery has a long history, it enjoys high market penetration. Several specifications and models of cylindrical lithium-ion batteries are available, including 14650, 17490, 18650, 21700, and 26650.

The second type of lithium battery packaging: square lithium-ion battery.

Square lithium-ion batteries generally refer to aluminum-cased or steel-cased rechargeable batteries, and their adoption rate is relatively high in my country. In recent years, with the popularization of power lithium-ion batteries, the difference between mileage and output power has become increasingly significant. Most Chinese power lithium-ion battery manufacturers choose to charge high-efficiency aluminum-cased square batteries because of their simple structure, unlike the high-explosion-resistant, high-pressure steel plates used for casings, resulting in lighter overall components and higher performance. Square batteries utilize two different manufacturing methods: coiled and wound.

However, because square lithium batteries can be customized according to product specifications, there are various specifications and types available on the market. However, due to the large size, the manufacturing process cannot be standardized. It is not a problem to use grid batteries in general electronic products, but for various serial or serial communication industrial equipment, it is best to use the standardized manufacturing of cylindrical lithium batteries to ensure the smooth progress of the manufacturing process and facilitate the search for replaceable batteries.

The third type of lithium battery packaging: pouch lithium-ion battery.

Soft-pack lithium-ion batteries are a type of polymer casing for liquid lithium-ion batteries. The difference between soft-pack lithium-ion batteries and other rechargeable batteries lies in the soft-pack plastic material (composite plastic packaging products). The raw materials of plastic packaging products are generally divided into three layers: an outer barrier layer (usually a thin protective layer made of polyester or polyester), an inner platinum layer, and an inner layer (high-precision layer).
